1. The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God and the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
2 Timothy 3:16
We reject:
• The idea that Scripture is merely human wisdom or culturally limited.
2. The One True God
We believe there is one true and living God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Mathew 28:19
We reject:
• Any denial of the Trinity.
3. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became flesh, lived a sinless life, humbled Himself died on the cross and rose again 3 days later, we believe Jesus is Lord
Colossians 2:9, Philippians 2:6-11
We reject:
• The belief that Jesus was merely a prophet or teacher.
4. Salvation
We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone, apart from works.
Ephesians 2:8-9
We reject:
• Salvation by works.
• Any gospel that adds human merit to the finished work of Christ.
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, and empowers believers and distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the church.
1 corinthians 12:7
We reject:
• The belief that the Holy Spirit is inactive or absent in the church today.
6. The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ made up of all true believers and called to worship God, proclaim the gospel, and disciple others
1 Corinthians 12:27
We reject:
• The idea that the church exists primarily for entertainment or cultural influence rather than gospel proclamation.
7. Baptism
We believe that salvation is the gift of God received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again. Baptism is the commanded response to this faith, in which the believer publicly confesses Christ and identifies with His death, burial, and resurrection. While baptism does not earn or cause salvation, it is the ordinary act of obedience through which believers openly enter the life of discipleship and the fellowship of the church.
Acts 2:41
We reject:
• The belief that baptism itself saves apart from repentance and faith. We also reject the idea that baptism is merely optional or an insignificant symbol. Instead, we affirm that baptism is commanded by Christ and is closely connected to the believer’s entrance into the new covenant life.
8. The Christian Life
We believe that as believers we are called to live holy lives, walking in obedience to Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 1:15-16
We reject:
• The idea that grace permits ongoing unrepentant sin.
9. The Return of Christ
We believe Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead and to establish His kingdom.
Acts 1:11
We reject:
• The denial of Christ’s future return.
10. Eternal Destiny
We believe there will be a resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the saved to eternal life and the lost to judgment.
John 5:28-29
